Airflow is something that you shouldn't neglect

When in doubt with the kind of air you're dealing with, check the room, work surface, and the cabinet itself.
Open Air Grill
While conducting biological safety cabinet testing, do not accidentally block any air grills. By covering the air grill, you might inadvertently compromise the integrity of your airflow. Think of it this way; if you want to avoid sending air from either your laboratory or work area to somewhere else, never compromise the integrity of the air grill. Leave the air grill alone to prevent air from going into the wrong areas.

The Right Attire
Your attire not only affects your safety, but it also affects
two other things. This includes both the environment that you're working in and the product that you're working with. You can wear your everyday clothing, but you should have something over it. You should get used to wearing a lab coat. That being said, a lab coat probably won't cover your hands, so protect your fingers and palms with nitrile gloves.
One of the last things that you probably want to happen is to have an accidental contamination while working with important materials. Make sure that you don't try to splatter
anything. To be careful, try to maintain a good distance between clean materials and anything that might cause cross-contamination. Nebulized spores are not your friend. You need to make sure that you keep everything safe and take your time. Don't forget to be mindful of your own safety.
